Polat Kocaoğlu — Biography

Polat Kocaoğlu (born 3 May 1979 in Balıkesir) is a former Turkish professional basketball player who played as a power forward. Over the course of his career he wore the colors of clubs including Galatasaray, Darüşşafaka and Hacettepe University, reaching the 1,000-point mark of his Turkish Basketball League career while playing for Darüşşafaka on 27 April 2007.

During the 2007-2008 season, playing for Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Kocaoğlu averaged 7.7 points and 3.3 rebounds over 23 minutes per game across 30 appearances. On 5 January 2008 he passed another career milestone, making his 150th league appearance.
