Pınar Atalay — Biography

Pinar Atalay (born 27 April 1978 in Lemgo) is a German journalist and radio and television presenter of Turkish descent.

Based in Germany, she built her career in broadcasting, moving from radio into television and becoming one of the familiar faces of German public broadcasting. Her start as a presenter on German state television in 2013 also drew wide attention in the Turkish press.

In 2021 she became the target of a hate campaign in Germany after making an on-air announcement in Turkish, an incident that sparked debate in both countries. She continues to work as a well-known news and talk show presenter in Germany.
