Özlem Başyurt — Biography

Özlem Başyurt was born on September 20, 1971, in Giresun. She studied physical education at Gazi University and carried that athletic background onto the pitch as a member of the Turkey women's national football team.

Alongside football, she also played basketball for a brief period and later moved into basketball coaching; as an educator she has worked as a high school physical education teacher, bringing her sporting background into the classroom.
