Özkan Yıldırım — Biography

Özkan Yıldırım (born 10 April 1993 in Sulingen, Germany) is a German-Turkish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. He stands 1.72 m tall and holds both Turkish and German citizenship.

Yıldırım came through the game in Germany, developing at Werder Bremen and later appearing for Eintracht Braunschweig. During those years he represented Germany at under-16, under-17, under-18, under-20 and under-21 level.

Later in his career he moved to Turkish football, turning out for clubs including Menemen, Hekimoğlu Trabzon and 68 Aksaray Belediyespor. His path across the two countries makes him one of the many players of Turkish descent raised in the German system who went on to build a career in Turkey.
