Özgür Gürbulak — Biography

Özgür Gürbulak is a Turkish wheelchair basketball player born on 30 April 1981 in İzmir. Competing as a 4-point player, he has spent most of his career with Galatasaray Wheelchair Basketball while also being a long-standing member of Turkey's national wheelchair basketball team.

He represented Turkey at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and was a three-time European runner-up with the national team in 2009, 2013 and 2015, while lifting the European Champions Cup four times with his club. Turkish media have referred to him as a source of pride for his hometown of İzmir, and in interviews he has spoken about defending titles and continuing to compete at the Paralympic level.
