Özge Kavurmacıoğlu — Biography
Özge Kavurmacıoğlu was born on 7 March 1993 in İzmit, Kocaeli, and began her basketball career in Fenerbahçe's youth system, working her way up to the senior squad as a small forward and power forward.
She went on to play for Beşiktaş, Antakya Belediyespor, Edirnespor, Orduspor, Bornova Becker and Botaş; after Orduspor's financial troubles led to relegation, she finished that season with Bornova Becker, which was promoted to the TKBL that year. In May 2017 she transferred to Galatasaray, opening a new chapter in her career.
Having also represented the Turkish national team, the İzmit-born player has been celebrated in her hometown as a source of local pride and remains one of the recognisable names in Turkish women's basketball.
