Özden Öngün — Biography

Özden Öngün (born 10 September 1978 in İzmit) is a Turkish former international footballer and goalkeeping coach. He played as a goalkeeper and won one senior cap for Turkey.

Over his playing career he turned out for clubs including Konyaspor, Kocaelispor, Sakaryaspor, Kartalspor, Kayserispor, MKE Ankaragücü and Mersin İdmanyurdu; his 2008 move to Çaykur Rizespor was also reported in the Turkish press. His longevity made him one of the more experienced goalkeepers of his generation in Turkish football.

After retiring he moved into goalkeeping coaching. He worked at İstanbul Başakşehir and, in the summer of 2022, was appointed goalkeeping coach at Fenerbahçe, later serving on coaching staffs led by Emre Belözoğlu. He is married to the Turkish Cypriot model Korla.
