Özcan Köksoy — Biography
Mehmet Özcan Köksoy (16 November 1940, Istanbul – 23 March 2022, Istanbul) was a Turkish footballer who played as a defender. He was born and raised in Istanbul and spent his playing career largely with clubs of that city.
At club level he is most closely associated with Fenerbahçe; after his death the club's own announcement and the Turkish press described him as a "Fenerbahçe legend". He was capped once by the Turkey national team, in a single appearance in 1965.
He did not take on a prominent public role after retiring from the game. He died in Istanbul on 23 March 2022 at the age of 81; the news was announced by Fenerbahçe SK and reported widely in the national sports media.
