Orhan Şam — Biography
Orhan Şam (born 1 June 1986 in Karadeniz Ereğli, Zonguldak) is a retired Turkish footballer and coach who played as a right back or centre back. He is 1.81 m tall.
During his playing career he wore the shirts of Fenerbahçe, Kasımpaşa, Gençlerbirliği, Elazığspor and Bodrumspor. He joined Gençlerbirliği on a two-year deal in 2016, moved to Elazığspor in January 2018, returned to Kasımpaşa in May of the same year and signed for Bodrumspor in January 2019. In February 2020 he announced his retirement from professional football.
After hanging up his boots, Şam moved into coaching: he served as head coach of the Turkey under-16 national team in 2024 and took up a coaching role at under-19 level in 2026.
