Orhan Atik — Biography

Orhan Atik was born on 25 February 1967 in the Pütürge district of Malatya. After a playing career as a defender, he moved into coaching and managed Galatasaray's U21 team from 2010 to 2016. Following Mustafa Denizli's resignation, he took interim charge of the first team on 1 March 2016, overseeing draws against Gençlerbirliği, Başakşehir and Akhisarspor, before being appointed assistant coach on 15 March 2016 when Jan Olde Riekerink took over as head coach.

Atik left that role on 9 December 2016 but remained with the club in other capacities, including academy and loan-player monitoring duties, before departing that post as well on 30 June 2020. In 2024 he drew attention in Turkish football circles with public remarks praising the Turkish Football Federation's work.
