Onur Seyit Yaran — Biography

Onur Seyit Yaran is a television actor who moved from modelling into acting and reached a wide audience with the youth series Kardeşlerim, in which he played a leading role from 2021 to 2023. The series was also watched in Iran, where it made him known too. More recently he has been part of the TRT tabii production Operasyon Alesta as a SAT commando and of the film Yaz Evi alongside Mina Demirtaş.

With family roots in Ordu, Yaran began as a model: he won Best Model of Turkey in 2016 and represented Turkey at Best Model of World. He started acting in the family comedy Kalk Gidelim, playing Canberk Dal in its first two seasons. He then had a guest role in the youth series Hayat Bazen Tatlıdır and joined the second season of Vuslat. The turning point was Kardeşlerim: on 16 December 2021 he won Rising TV Star of the Year at the GQ Men of the Year ceremony, and on 4 December 2022 he and Su Burcu Yazgı Coşkun took Best TV Series Couple at the Golden Butterfly Awards.

He also won an award at the Golden Vineyard (Altın Üzüm Bağı) ceremony in Spain, representing his country. In 2024 he shared the lead in the Star TV series Yan Oda with Şevval Sam, Caner Cindoruk and Derya Pınar Ak, and in the summer he starred opposite Helin Kandemir in the film Aşkın Yüzü.
