Onur Kıvrak — Biography

Onur Recep Kıvrak (born 6 December 1988, Alaşehir, Manisa) is a former Turkish professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He represented the Turkey national football team internationally. He was named Goalkeeper of the Year by Futbol Plus magazine in 2011 and 2013, and Young Talent of the Year in 2010.

Having come through the youth academy of the İzmir club Bornova Yeşilovaspor, Kıvrak joined First League side Karşıyaka in 2004 and turned professional. In January 2008 he transferred to Trabzonspor for a fee of 700,000 euros. In 2009, with the arrival of head coach Şenol Güneş, he established himself in the starting eleven and quickly became one of the team's key players. He won the Turkish Cup in the 2009–10 season and the Turkish Super Cup in 2010. In 2019 he announced his retirement from football, terminating his contract.

Kıvrak represented Turkey internationally and also played for the country's youth national teams. With the Turkey under-17 team he won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship and finished third at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. He made his debut for the senior Turkey national team on 26 May 2010 and played 13 matches for the side until 2016.
