Onur Kayador — Biography

Born in Istanbul on 5 June 1955, Onur Kayador spent most of a long defensive career at Fenerbahçe, rising through the club's own youth ranks and becoming so closely tied to it that fans and historians still rank him among its most memorable captains. He also played for Adana Demirspor and was capped for the Turkey national team.

His playing days included a Süper Lig fixture against Galatasaray in 1983 and a European Champion Clubs' Cup match against Sweden's IFK Göteborg in 1985. Long after retiring, Kayador remained a familiar figure around Fenerbahçe; in 2021 he recovered from a Covid-19 Delta-variant infection within eight days.
