Onur Doğan — Biography
Onur Doğan is a forward born in Çanakkale who moved to Taiwan, was naturalized in 2014 and became the first foreign-born player to represent Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) at national level. He is known in Taiwan as Chu En-Le (朱恩樂) and won the country's league twice with Tatung FC.
He started playing football at seven, after his mother noticed his talent. In Çanakkale he played in the lower amateur leagues for Dardanelspor, Çanakkalespor, Çanakkale Arslancaspor and Çanakkale Mahmudiye Belediyespor. He moved to Taiwan in 2009. With Tatung FC he won the Intercity Football League in 2013 and the Taiwan Premier League in 2018 and 2019, and he has also worn the shirt of Taichung Futuro.
In 2014 he took Republic of China citizenship and the name Chu En-Le, and was called up to the national team the same year; he made his debut against Guam on 13 November 2014. Turkish media called him the Turk who carries the Taiwan national team on his back.
