Olli Haaskivi — Biography
Olli Haaskivi is an actor who holds both American and Finnish citizenship. Trained in musical theatre, he has been on screen since 2012 and is best known for Dr. Nagel in the Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, for joining the cast of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, and for playing Seymour in the 2024 film Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write about a Serial Killer. Beyond acting he is also credited as a writer and producer.
He was born in Cleveland while his father, the Finnish footballer Kai Haaskivi, was playing for the Cleveland Force. At eight he moved with his family to Florida and grew up between Bradenton and Sarasota. After graduating from Booker High School in Sarasota he studied musical theatre at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where he appeared in a production of Seussical.
His first onscreen role came in 2012 in an episode of Unforgettable. In 2019 he played a small part opposite Edward Norton in Motherless Brooklyn, which Norton directed. He then guest-starred as Dr. Nagel in the miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In February 2022 he was cast in Oppenheimer, and later that year he took a recurring role in the Apple TV+ miniseries The Big Cigar.
