Olcay Şahan — Biography
Olcay Şahan (born 26 May 1987 in Düsseldorf) is a German-born Turkish football manager and former international. Wikidata lists only Turkish citizenship, but the German, French and Russian sources all describe him as Turkish-German. He stood 1.77 m and played as a winger or attacking midfielder.
In Germany he turned out for Fortuna Düsseldorf, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Duisburg and Kaiserslautern before moving to Beşiktaş and then, in 2017, to Trabzonspor; Portuguese Wikipedia records a later spell at Afjet Afyonspor. He also won caps for the Turkey national team.
After moving into coaching he was appointed manager of 1461 Trabzon FK in October 2025. The club extended his contract in February 2026, and he continued to lead the side in the TFF Second League.
