Ogün Sanlısoy — Biography

Saim Ogün Sanlısoy (born 12 March 1971 in Gölcük) is a Turkish singer-songwriter who began his music career as the vocalist and guitarist of the thrash metal band Mezarkabul, known outside Turkey as Pentagram. A graduate of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, he later moved away from the band toward a solo path.

Regarded as one of Turkey's earliest metal vocalists, Sanlısoy has released six solo albums and chose to issue his seventh studio effort as a two-part EP series. The first installment, titled "Gel", reached listeners on 14 April 2023.

Over a long career that carried him from a hard-edged metal sound into Turkish pop-rock, he has remained closely tied to the country's rock scene and is a familiar figure within its music community beyond the stage.
