Nurullah Sağlam — Biography

Nurullah Sağlam was born on 28 January 1966 in Gaziantep. After finishing high school locally he began university at the Gaziantep campus of METU, but left his studies unfinished after signing with Gaziantepspor in 1984, having started out at an amateur club during his school years. Playing as a defender, he turned out for Gaziantepspor, Kayserispor, Elazığspor, Edirnespor and İslahiyespor, and won the 1989-90 First League title with Gaziantepspor.

After retiring as a player he moved into coaching, earning a UEFA Pro licence, and went on to manage Gaziantepspor, Karşıyaka, Denizlispor, Konyaspor, Diyarbakırspor and Mersin İdmanyurdu. While in charge of Gaziantepspor he led the club to the third round of the UEFA Cup, beating Fabio Capello's Roma 1-0 in the first leg before a 2-0 defeat in the away leg ended the run. In the 2010-11 season he guided Mersin İdmanyurdu to the First League title and signed a new three-season contract with the club.

He later took charge of Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor, a post he still held as of 2026.
