Nuran Aksoy — Biography
Nuran Aksoy, born Nuran Aksoylar, was born on 26 December 1944 in Istanbul's Moda district. She began her acting career in 1965 after placing in a talent competition organized by Ses magazine, and also gained stage experience alongside figures such as Enis Fosforoğlu.
Working steadily in Turkish film and television from the late 1960s through the late 1980s, Aksoy appeared in films including Çirkin Kral Affetmez, Ağrı Dağı Efsanesi and Kuma; she became known for playing 'Hayat Kadını' in Ah Güzel İstanbul and for a series of mother roles in works such as Yürek Yarası, Dil Yarası and Yarın Ağlayacağım. She married director Kaya Ererez, with whom she had a daughter.
Nuran Aksoy died on 2 July 1987 in Istanbul's Moda district.
