Nihat Nikerel — Biography

Nihat Nikerel (5 February 1950, Çorum – 26 September 2009, Istanbul) was a Turkish film and television actor and writer. He attended Vefa High School, spent the years 1972–1976 on an extended journey around the world, and entered the arts as a screenwriter.

He appeared in films such as Manisa Tarzanı (1994), Büyük Yolculuk (2004) and Bir Irmağa Yolculuk (1988), and in television series including Sıcak Saatler and Süper Baba. He became best known, however, for his role as Seyfo Dayı in the crime drama series Kurtlar Vadisi.

Also the author of a book, Nikerel died of a heart attack at his home in Istanbul on 26 September 2009, aged 59, and was buried at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
