Nihat Baştürk — Biography
Nihat Baştürk was born on 22 October 1973 in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey. A midfielder, he built the core of his career at Gençlerbirliği, where he spent twelve seasons in the Süper Lig, Turkey's top flight.
He later played a season with Antalyaspor in the second tier before moving on to second-division side Fethiyespor for a couple of seasons. In 2008–09, by then in his mid-thirties, Baştürk joined Afyonkarahisarspor, the club of his home city, and closed out his playing career there.
