Nezaket Erden — Biography

Nezaket Erden was born on 16 June 1990 in Mersin, completed primary and secondary school there, then moved to Istanbul to study philosophy at Galatasaray University, where she joined the student theatre club before training on scholarship at Akademi 35,5 and graduating from Kadir Has University's Film and Drama-Acting program in 2016. For her graduation project she staged a one-woman adaptation of Latife Tekin's novel, Sevgili Arsız Ölüm - Dirmit, working alongside Hakan Emre Ünal, whom she would later marry; the production earned her a nomination for best actress at the Afife Theatre Awards. In 2018 she co-founded the Istanbul theatre company Tiyatro Hemhal with Ünal and Ayşe Draz. She made her film debut in 2020 as Tilbe in İnsanlar İkiye Ayrılır, a performance that brought her a Golden Orange for best supporting actress at the 57th Antalya festival, and she claimed the same prize again a year later at the 58th edition for playing Serpil in director Selman Nacar's debut feature İki Şafak Arasında. In 2026 she joined the cast of the new HBO Max Turkish series Mira, and that same year she announced that her nine-year marriage to Ünal had ended.
