Neşe Erberk — Biography

Neşe Erberk is known as one of the women who brought the Miss Europe crown to Turkey in the mid-1980s, and she later made her name in business with a modelling agency and a preschool brand. She was named Miss Turkey in 1983 and Miss Europe in 1984, the fourth Turkish winner of that title after Günseli Başar, Filiz Vural and Nazlı Deniz Kuruoğlu.

She began modelling in her final year at Robert College. In 1982 she won a contest run by Vizon magazine and appeared in the big fashion show of the day, Vizon Show, as "Bayan Vizon". In 1983 she won the Miss Turkey contest organised by Güneş, and the following year she represented Turkey at Miss Europe in Bad Gastein, Austria, and was crowned. She studied business administration at Boğaziçi University, graduating in 1986, and carried on modelling. In 1987 she opened a modelling and photo-model agency under her own name, which grew into one of the largest in the field, and in 1997 she founded a school that trains models.

Her second phase was in education: in 2002 she opened her first preschool in Levent, Istanbul, and in 2007 she moved to a franchising system that took the Neşe Erberk name to many provinces; with its franchises the brand reached 49 schools. She has triplet daughters born in 1999, moved to the United States in 2017 for their education and divides her life between Turkey and the US. One of her daughters placed third at Miss Turkey 2022 and represented Turkey at Miss Supernational.
