Nejat Yavaşoğulları — Biography
Mehmet Nejat Yavaşoğulları (born 3 August 1950 in Anadoluhisarı, Beykoz, Istanbul) is a Turkish architect and musician. He studied at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
He is best known as the lead singer of Bulutsuzluk Özlemi, one of the pioneering bands of Turkish rock music, and has been on stage for more than four decades; the band celebrated its 40th anniversary with a concert at Kalamış in 2025. His album "Bedreddin", dedicated to Nâzım Hikmet and Sheikh Bedreddin, also drew attention.
In 2026, "Yaşamaya Mecbursun!", a documentary telling the band's story, was released in cinemas.
