Nedim Doğan — Biography

Nedim Doğan (born 1943 in Istanbul) is a retired Turkish international footballer who later worked as a manager. Wikidata records only the year of his birth, while the Turkish Wikipedia gives 3 February 1943; the year 1943 is the figure on which every source agrees.

A forward, he began his professional career at İstanbulspor before transferring to Fenerbahçe, where he played for twelve years between 1961 and 1973 and, by the English Wikipedia's count, scored 101 goals in 416 matches. German-language coverage describes him as one of the players most closely identified with the club: he was a key part of the side that won back-to-back Turkish championships for the first time, belonged to the 1967-68 team that took Fenerbahçe's first domestic double, and captained the club from 1970.

He made nine appearances for the senior national team, and the Arabic Wikipedia additionally credits him with appearances for Turkey's under-21 side.
