Necdet Niş — Biography

Necdet Kaya Niş was a Turkish former footballer and manager, born on 6 April 1937 in Ankara and passing away on 11 April 2018 in Istanbul. He began his playing career at Hacettepe before moving into coaching once his playing days ended.

As a manager, Niş took charge of numerous Süper Lig clubs, most notably Fenerbahçe and MKE Ankaragücü. He also became closely associated with Sakaryaspor, where he is remembered as a legendary figure in the club's history.

Following his death, Niş was mourned across Turkish football, particularly within the Fenerbahçe and Sakaryaspor communities, and is remembered as one of the veteran managers of Turkish football history.
