Nazlı Tolga — Biography
Nazlı Tolga is a journalist and educator who worked in Turkish television news from 1998 to 2013 and became known as a main-bulletin anchor. She is remembered above all for FOX Ana Haber, which she presented on FOX from 2007 to 2013. A Dutch citizen of Turkish origin, she now lives abroad.
Her career falls into three phases. The first was at Kanal D, where her internship application was accepted; she began in 1998, worked on the foreign news desk, then presented the daytime and late-night bulletins. In 2002 she moved to Show TV and also conducted special interviews alongside her bulletins. In 2003 she joined Skytürk, where she presented Nazlı Tolga ile Gündem at midday and Nazlı Tolga ile Haber Masası in the evening. The third phase began in 2007 with her move to TGRT, the channel that became FOX; when the bulletin was moved to 22:00 in 2008 the programme was renamed Fox On Ana Haber. On 14 June 2013 she left the anchor desk because she was marrying and settling abroad.
Her anchoring earned her "best female news anchor" awards from bodies such as Aydın University, Ayaklı Gazete and the Lions, as well as an Altın Aslan for most successful main news bulletin presenter. She grew up in Istanbul, graduated from Üsküdar American Academy and Marmara University's Faculty of Communication, and took a master's degree at Galatasaray University. From 2010 to 2013 she taught aspiring news presenters. She married a Dutch businessman in August 2013, has lived in Brazil, Shanghai and London, and is the mother of two daughters.
