Nazlı Çelik — Biography

Nazlı Çelik was born in 1977 in İstanbul; she is the daughter of Doğuş Holding executive Yücel Çelik.

After completing her high school education at The American School In Switzerland in Switzerland, she studied in the Television and Video Department at Emerson University in America while also studying in the Psychology Department, pursuing a double major, and completed her education graduating with high honors.

She began her first job as a police and court reporter at the NTV News Center; she later moved to the morning program Güne Başlarken.

As a guest of the United States Department of State, she completed television journalism programs in 2002 that included tours of the White House and the Pentagon.

In 2005 she began presenting a news program on Star TV; in 2008 she worked as a reporter while Uğur Dündar was presenting the news, and afterwards she began presenting the weekend news.

In 2011 she began presenting the main news bulletin, which she still presents, and in addition she serves as editor-in-chief.

The Journalists' Association of Turkey deemed her interview with İlhami Erdil praiseworthy in the news category, and to this day she has been awarded many prizes in the Best Female Presenter category.

In 1999 she married businessman Burak Öztarhan, and in 2012 they divorced. They have a daughter named Kayrea.

In 2014 she married former Beşiktaş president Serdar Bilgili, and they divorced the same year.
