Nazım Sangaré — Biography
Nazım Sangaré is a right-back whose route ran from lower-league German football to the Süper Lig, a Fenerbahçe shirt and the Turkey national team. Standing 1.85 metres tall, he now anchors the defence at Gaziantep FK, with whom he signed a new two-year contract in July 2026.
He started out in Germany, turning professional with Alemannia Aachen in 2013 before moving to the reserve side of Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2014 and to Osnabrück in 2016. While at Düsseldorf he also did a long internship as a kindergarten teacher. His breakthrough came at Antalyaspor, which he joined in August 2017 for 250,000 euros and where he made his name in Turkey. In September 2020 he moved to Fenerbahçe for 1.75 million euros plus a player swap, signing a four-year deal, and he was part of the squad that won the Turkish Cup in 2022-23. He left Fenerbahçe in September 2023, spent the 2024-25 season at Göztepe and joined Gaziantep FK in August 2025.
Born in Germany to a Turkish mother and a Guinean father, he was first called up by Şenol Güneş on 24 May 2019 and made his Turkey debut on 30 May 2019 against Greece.
