Naz Elmas — Biography

Born on 16 June 1983 in Istanbul, Naz Elmas is a Turkish film, television and stage actress who graduated from the Theatre Department of Yeditepe University's Faculty of Fine Arts. She is the sister of actress Açelya Elmas, and her own career began on the theatre stage before she moved into screen work.

The year 2004 marked a turning point for Elmas on both the small and big screen: she reached wide audiences playing Havin Kozanoğlu in Haziran Gecesi, one of the era's most memorable television love stories, and the same year appeared in the cult hit comedy G.O.R.A., which made her a familiar face to cinema audiences as well. In the years that followed she took roles in popular series such as Doktorlar and Filinta, played Angeli in Ustura Kemal and Nesrin in Bizim Hikayemiz, portrayed Sibel in the 2018 film Tut Yüreğimden Anne, and returned to television as Nihan Akıncı in the 2024 series Karadut.

Despite a busy schedule across film and television, Elmas has never broken her ties with theatre and has continued to perform on stage throughout her career.
