Muxtar Maniyev — Biography
Muxtar Maniyev was an actor who took part in more than 150 films in Azerbaijani cinema, most often playing small and supporting characters. Born in Baku, he turned to the stage after an engineering education: having graduated from the Petrochemical Institute, he applied to the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts and began a second course of study. He worked in a theatre studio attached to the Azərbaycanfilm studio. His filmography is led by the part of Miransah in the 1973 film Nəsimi; he also appeared in Babək (1979) and Lətifə (1989). His other productions include Yaramaz (1988) and Black Volga (1994).
