Mustafa Kapı — Biography
Mustafa Kapı is a midfielder best known as the youngest player ever to appear in a league match for Galatasaray. He reached the Süper Lig at sixteen, went on to Lille in France and then to Adana Demirspor, and now plays for TFF 2. Lig side İskenderunspor.
Kapı came through the Galatasaray academy. He made his first Süper Lig appearance on 23 December 2018 in a 4-2 win over Sivasspor, at the age of 16 years, 4 months and 15 days. That season the club won both the league and the Turkish Cup. After he did not renew his contract he was left out of the squad on 17 February 2020. When his deal ended in the 2019-20 season he agreed a five-year contract with Ligue 1 side Lille; the formal signature came after he turned eighteen, and Lille announced the transfer on 12 September 2020. The French club paid Galatasaray 300,000 euros in training compensation. Lille's 2020-21 Ligue 1 title is also counted among his honours.
In January 2022 he moved to Adana Demirspor on a contract of three and a half years. In the summer of 2024 he joined Kastamonuspor in the third tier, and at the end of July 2025 he agreed terms with İskenderunspor. He has represented Turkey across various age groups, with 50 appearances and three goals in total.
