Mustafa Altıntaş — Biography

Mustafa Altıntaş was born on 15 March 1939 in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli province and made his name in football as a forward. Known in the game by the nickname Mustafa Köylü, he spent his professional career at two long-established Marmara-region clubs, Bursaspor and Kocaelispor.

He remained tied to Kocaeli, the province where he was born and raised, and died there in November 2010. The Köylü nickname carried on after him, passed down to later footballing generations within his family.
