Murat Sözgelmez — Biography

Murat Sözgelmez (born 21 August 1985 in İzmir) is a Turkish retired professional footballer who played as a centre-back.

He spent the bulk of his career at Sivasspor, where his consistent displays stood out; he was named among the club's most reliable players in 2009 and extended his contract for a further two years in May 2010.

He later played for Balıkesirspor and joined Çaykur Rizespor in 2018, bringing to an end a professional career spent competing for many years in the Süper Lig.
