Murat Öztürk — Biography

Born on 5 December 1969 in Sivas, Murat Öztürk played as a goalkeeper before moving into goalkeeper coaching. He began his football journey at Gençlerbirliği, turned professional at Eskişehirspor, and also kept goal for Bilecikspor, Ayvalık Belediyegücü, Bergama Belediyespor and Eskispor. He earned his goalkeeper coaching licence in 2003.

Between 2004 and 2008 he spent four seasons on Fenerbahçe's first-team staff under Christoph Daum and Zico, then worked for a season with the Turkish Football Federation's youth national teams. He returned to Fenerbahçe for six seasons from 2009 to 2015, joined Aykut Kocaman's staff at Konyaspor in 2016-17, and went back to Fenerbahçe in 2017 — only for the club's board to terminate his contract unilaterally a few months later.

In the years that followed he worked as goalkeeper coach at Konyaspor, Antalyaspor and İstanbul Başakşehir in turn, then returned to Antalyaspor under head coach Nuri Şahin from 2021 to 2023. He was back at Konyaspor in 2024 and spent the 2024-2025 season at Bodrumspor.
