Murat Akpınar — Biography
Murat Cem Akpınar was born on January 24, 1999, in the Düzköy district of Trabzon and stands 1.70 m tall as a midfielder. Coming from a family of Azerbaijani descent and holding dual citizenship, he represented Azerbaijan's under-17 national team in 2015.
He began his professional career at Trabzonspor in 2018, making his official debut on 22 February 2019 in a 3-1 Süper Lig win over Göztepe, and was part of the squad when the club won the 2021-22 Süper Lig title. He subsequently played for 1461 Trabzon, Hekimoğlu Trabzon, Kocaelispor, Giresunspor and Sakaryaspor.
In November 2025 he received a 45-day suspension for his involvement in a Turkish football betting scandal. After a spell at Bandırmaspor, he currently plays for TFF First League club Erzurumspor FK.
