Murat Akın — Biography
Murat Akın (born 22 October 1986 in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium) is a Belgian-born Turkish former footballer who played as a midfielder. He stands 1.74 m tall.
During his playing career he featured for clubs such as Antalyaspor, Orduspor, Konyaspor, Kayseri Erciyesspor, Kayserispor, İstanbul Başakşehir, Kasımpaşa and Kardemir Karabükspor. He drew the attention of the Turkish sports press by winning promotion from the TFF 1. Lig to the Süper Lig seven times with his clubs — six of them in consecutive seasons between 2010 and 2016.
After retiring as a player, he served as sporting director of Fatih Karagümrük, leaving the club in 2023.
