Münir Mercan — Biography

Münir Levent Mercan was born on 10 December 2000 in Recklinghausen, Germany, and came through the ranks at Schalke 04 before representing Germany at U19 and U20 level. Of Turkish descent, the 1.76-metre defender built his reputation in the demanding left-back role.

Known professionally simply as Levent Mercan, he now plies his trade for Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe, where he has spoken publicly in 2026 about the squad's strong team spirit and his own form. That same year, reports emerged linking him with a return to the Bundesliga, with Stuttgart among the clubs said to be interested.
