Muğdat Çelik is a forward from Mersin who made his name with goals in the lower divisions and went on to reach the Süper Lig and Galatasaray. In 2012-13 he finished as top scorer of the Second League with 24 goals for Nazilli Belediyespor, and he won the Turkish Cup with Akhisar Belediyespor in 2017-18 and with Galatasaray in 2018-19.
He began in 2004 in the youth system of Kuvayi Milliyespor in his hometown Mersin, moved to Gençlerbirliği's academy in 2005 and turned professional there in 2008. His first years were spent on loan at Kastamonuspor, Çankırıspor, Bugsaşspor and Batman Petrolspor. When his Gençlerbirliği contract was terminated in January 2011 he joined Nazilli Belediyespor, won the Third League in 2011-12 and took the scoring crown the next season. At the 2013-14 mid-season break he signed for First League side Balıkesirspor and won the First League and promotion to the Süper Lig with them. He joined Akhisar Belediyespor in the winter of 2015-16 and, with two assists in the Turkish Cup final on 10 May 2018, helped the club win its first professional trophy.
Ahead of 2018-19 he joined Galatasaray on a free transfer and won the Süper Lig and the Turkish Cup in his first season there, finishing runner-up in the Super Cup. He then signed a two-year contract with Gazişehir Gaziantep, and later played for Yeni Mersin İdmanyurdu, a Third League club from his hometown.
