Metin Sevinç — Biography

Metin Sevinç is an attacking midfielder who came through the Beşiktaş academy, made his top-flight debut with Kasımpaşa and later played in the lower divisions. He won national youth titles as a teenager and was part of the Turkey under-19 squad that took silver at the Mediterranean Games.

He started playing in 2006 at İstanbulspor and moved to the Beşiktaş academy in 2009. In his first season with the under-16 side, which reached the national finals, he was sent off six minutes after coming on in the quarter-final and missed the semi-final; the team went on to win the title while he watched from the bench. A year later he was national champion with the under-17s and started the final. In 2012 he moved to Kasımpaşa, became one of the key players of the reserve side and helped it reach the semi-finals. He began training with the first team in September 2013, signed a five-year contract, and on 2 November 2013 came on for Adem Büyük against Kayseri Erciyesspor to make his Süper Lig debut.

In 2013 he also played for the Turkey under-19 side: he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Sweden at the La Manga tournament, and at the Mediterranean Games in June he made three appearances, all as a substitute. He came on at half-time in the final against Morocco, which Turkey lost on penalties. Besides Kasımpaşa, his professional career has taken him to Fatih Karagümrük, Fethiyespor, Orduspor 1967 and the Third League side Çankaya.
