Metin Diyadin — Biography
Born on 16 February 1968 in Trabzon, Metin Diyadin is a former central midfielder who played for clubs including Denizlispor, Gençlerbirliği, Kayserispor, Fenerbahçe and Göztepe before moving into coaching, where he has spent a significant part of his career with Gençlerbirliği.
He left Gençlerbirliği in February 2026 following a dispute with the club, but returned in May 2026 to take charge again as the storied Ankara side secured its place back in the Süper Lig. As of July 2026 he remains the club's head coach, having brought in Gökhan Gönül as his assistant and publicly pressed the club's management for several new signings ahead of the new season.
