Metehan Baltacı — Biography

Metehan Baltacı was born on 3 November 2002 in the Fatih district of Istanbul and has developed into a promising young Turkish defender. A product of the Galatasaray youth system, he plays as a centre-back in the club's Süper Lig squad and has established himself among the team's emerging defensive talents.

In early 2026 his name surfaced in connection with a football betting investigation in Turkey: after an indictment against him was accepted, he was held in custody for a period before a court ordered his release on 25 March 2026. That summer, transfer talk followed him closely — reports in June suggested an agreement had been reached with Polish club Pogoń Szczecin, while by July, coverage instead pointed to continued interest from several other European sides, including one from Belgium.
