Meta Akkuş — Biography
Born on 10 February 1980, Meta Akkuş is a Turkish-born film director, screenwriter, producer and author based in France. Alongside her filmmaking work, she also built a career as a writer, publishing her second book, "Abrakadabra," in 2018.
She is best known for the fantasy family film Bir Dilek Tut (released internationally as Make A Wish), whose production took four years to complete. Released in 2022, the film won multiple awards, featured in discussion around Turkey's Oscar submission process, and received a U.S. theatrical release in 2024.
