Mert Nobre — Biography
Márcio Ferreira Nobre, known in Turkey as Mert Nobre, is a former Brazilian footballer and football manager born on 6 November 1980 in Jateí, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. He spent around fifteen years playing in Turkey, most notably for Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, and acquired Turkish citizenship in 2006, adopting the name Mert.
After retiring as a player, Nobre moved into coaching, taking his first managerial post at Gençlerbirliği in August 2020. In 2026 he returned to wide public attention after winning the Turkish reality competition Survivor.
