Meltem Miraloğlu — Biography

Meltem Miraloğlu is a Turkish actress known for playing the child bride Hayat in the series Hayat Devam Ediyor. That role made her name on television; in the following years she moved more towards film, and in Aşık, the film about Âşık Veysel's life, she played the bard's wife.

She was born in Diyarbakır and moved to Istanbul with her family at the age of two. She wanted to act from an early age and trained at the Müjdat Gezen Sanat Merkezi; after graduating she caught the eye of Mahsun Kırmızıgül. Her first screen work was an advertising film for the social-responsibility project "Hayatı Çalınan Çocuklar", followed by roles in the series Kılıç Günü (2010) and Bir Bulut Olsam. The lead in Kırmızıgül's Hayat Devam Ediyor (2011) introduced her to a wide audience and brought her a Best Actress award in 2012. She then played Dicle in Adını Kalbime Yazdım.

In 2016 she appeared first in the films Ateş and Sekerat Son; at the end of the year she played Esma, the bard's wife, in Bilal Babaoğlu's Aşık, in which Emirhan Kartal also had a lead role. In 2017 she took the part of Nuran in the film Miraç, and Güzel Günler Göreceğiz is also linked to her name.
