Melike Pekel — Biography
Melike Pekel (born 14 April 1995 in Munich) is a German-born Turkish footballer who plays as a forward; her height is recorded as 1.72 m. She has long worn the number 10 shirt for the Turkey women's national team.
In Germany she played for the Bayern Munich women's side, then moved to France for spells with Paris Saint-Germain, Le Havre and Stade de Reims. She spent the 2023-24 season at FC Ingolstadt 04, joined SKN St. Pölten in Austria on 1 July 2024, and returned to Turkey in July 2025 when Galatasaray signed her.
According to figures given by the Turkish Wikipedia she has scored 9 goals in 26 internationals. She was in the Turkey squad for wins over Kosovo in October 2025 and Northern Ireland in June 2026, a run that took the national team through to the play-offs.
