Melih İbrahimoğlu — Biography
Melih İbrahimoğlu is a Vienna-born attacking midfielder of Turkish descent who is Austrian by birth. He came through at Rapid Wien and followed a path from the Austrian Bundesliga to Turkey, signing a three-year contract with Süper Lig side Konyaspor on 19 July 2024. He represents Turkey internationally.
In 2018-19 he scored 7 goals and made 12 assists for Rapid Wien II, who played in the Austrian third tier. The following season he made his first-team debut for Rapid Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga, in a 3-3 draw against TSV Hartberg. On 23 December 2022 he joined Admira Wacker on loan for the second half of 2022-23.
At national level he first played for Austria: in 2019 he made two appearances for the U20 side. He then switched to the Turkey U21s and made his first appearance in their shirt on 17 November 2020, in a 3-0 win over Kosovo U21.
