Melek Bilge — Biography

Melek Bilge was born on March 23, 1989, in the Kartal district of Istanbul. Standing 1.93 m tall, she plays as a center. Her parents are Bosniak immigrants from Serbia, and she holds both Turkish and Serbian citizenship. While attending Pendik High School, she came up through the youth ranks of the Migros women's basketball team, earned her first youth national call-up while playing for Ceyhan Belediyespor, and subsequently progressed through Turkey's junior and under-20 national teams before being selected for the senior national squad.

Over the course of her club career, Bilge has represented teams in several Turkish cities, including Galatasaray, Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Bodrum Belediyesi and Kırıkkale Yüksek İhtisas Hastanesi Spor Kulübü, establishing herself as one of the enduring names in Turkish women's basketball.
