Mehmet Yozgatlı — Biography

Mehmet Yozgatlı (born 9 January 1979 in Melle, Germany) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a winger and later became a coach. Before turning professional he trained as a bank clerk.

He began his professional career at İstanbulspor in the 1998/99 season, scoring four goals in 27 appearances. In 1999 he moved to Adanaspor and was loaned to Galatasaray; back at İstanbulspor he played 71 games and scored seven goals. In the winter break of the 2003/04 season he signed a three-year contract with Fenerbahçe and won the Turkish championship there; in 2004/05 he played 28 league matches as well as four Champions League and one UEFA Cup games.

For the 2007/08 season he joined Beşiktaş, but injuries limited his playing time, and after one season he moved to Gaziantepspor. He also played for Çaykur Rizespor and Gençlerbirliği, and scored five goals in six games for the Turkish U21 national team. After retiring he worked as an assistant coach at Fenerbahçe and Gaziantep FK.
