Mehmet Kara (born 21 November 1983 in Werne, Germany) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Over the course of his career he featured for clubs in both Germany and Turkey.
His German clubs included SC Paderborn 07, Preußen Münster and Hammer SpVg, while in Turkey he turned out for Gençlerbirliği, Gaziantepspor and Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor. He later continued his career in Germany with VfL Kamen.
